The former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya in the Ashanti Region, Nana Asare Bediako who is popularly known in the political space as Obama, has filed his nomination papers for Ashanti regional NDC organizer position.
Obama who is determined to unseat the incumbent Organizer stormed the regional party office on Friday 14th October,2022 with a large supporters mostly branch executives to file his nomination papers ahead of 16th October,2022 deadline.
Speaking to this portal, the Ashanti NDC regional Organizer hopeful said the party needs someone like him to help reorganize and mobilize the grassroot supporters and sympathy of NDC to enable the party wins 2024 polls one touch.
According to him, the need for a strategic regional Organizer for NDC ahead of 2024 polls and beyond can’t be overemphasized hence his decision to offer himself for the contest.
He therefore call on the delegates to give him the mandate for the job to help rebuild the party from the grassroot level(Wards/branches) through to the regional level ahead of 2024 general elections.
The Ashanti NDC regional organizer hopeful who has served the party in many capacities stated that NDC can’t afford to lose 2024 polls because Ghanaians will not forgive them. “My brother majority of Ghanaians are yearning for the return of NDC to save them from the current economic hardship under the Nana Akufo-Addo administration. We (NDC) therefore need committed and strategic planners to pull all supporters along to achieve our target of winning the forthcoming polls”.Hon.Obama cautioned against campaign of insults.
He entreated all delegates to be decorum in their campaign before, during and after the internal elections to enable them come without more united.”NDC needs unity and hard work to recapture power so I’m urging all contestants for the various positions to tell the delegates what they are capable of doing should they be given the mandate instead of necessary personality attacks or insults”.
The former DCE for Atwima Nwabiagya South also seized the opportunity to call on the rank and file of NDC to unite behind former President John Mahama whom he described as the next ‘redeemer for Ghana’.
He implored on the rank and file of NDC across the country, especially those in the Ashanti region to support JDM to recapture power in 2024 general elections.
“I’m telling you that our only savior for 2024 polls is former President John Mahama.Let’s all support him to win 2024 elections for us”, he pleaded.
