Mr. Yaw Owusu Obimpeh, an Aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship race is appealing to delegates to vote him to lead the party again in the region and recapture power for the party in the next general election.

He noted that the NDC is poised for power and they are ready to match the NPP boot for boot.

Speaking on Silver Fm/TV’s GHANA HO NKOMO hosted by Dominic Kwaku Boateng, the former Chairman warned the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to do anything nasty to rig the 2024 election or it will be a blood shed.

Mr. Yaw Obimpeh however, cautioned the NPP to be wary with their diabolic strategies to manoeuvre their way through since the NDC is ready to balk any unlawful or dubious attempt by the Electoral Commission to favour the incumbent government.

Mr. Obimpeh stated categorically clear that all the tactics and strategies the ruling NPP is employing are being monitored closely by the NDC research team.

He further blamed journalists in Kumasi for allowing themselves to be used by the then opposition NPP in 2016 to make the former President John Dramani unpopular in the region because all the projects in the “Green Book” were real and not just pictures.

“No wonder journalists are now frustrated and suffering than any other Ghanaian because you supported lies from Akufo Addo and Dr. Bawumia but what do we see today”the outspoken Chairman aspirant fumed.

He also appealed to Ghanaians to woo NDC into their heart and vote massively for whoever emerges as the flagbearer of the NDC in the 2024 general election, adding that Akufo Addo-Bawumia administration is the worst and corrupt ever under the fourth republic if Ghanaians will not be economical with the truth.

The Chairman aspirant disclosed that former president Mahama solved dumsor before leaving office so the NPP should not tout themselves to have solved dumsor and credit the NDC administration.

He therefore called for unity among the rank and file in the party ahead of the regional congress but cautioned the election committee to release the album on time or the members of the committee will face his wrath.
