Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council supports Heal Komfo Anokye Projet with GHC 300,000

The Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, under the leadership of Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama ll, has donated an amount of GH¢ 300,000 to support the Heal Komfo Anokye Project.

The donation, according to the Paramount Chief, Nana Kwasi Bumangama, is to support the Ashantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s effort to renovate the premier heath center in the Ashanti Region.

Nana Mensah Abrompa ll, Gyasehene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, who led a delegation from Wiawso to represent Katakyie Bumangama ll, presented a cheque of Three Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (300,000). The delegation also presented some drinks and a cow to his Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during his silver jubilee cerebration over the weekend at Manhyia.

It is worth noting that KATH Hospital serves as the main referral to all facilities in Western North. Since time immemorial, all cases from the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council and western North as a whole are referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

He further stated tgat Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) being their major referral point has saved a lot of lives from entire Western North enclave after the region was created out of Western Region and their cases were mostly referred to the Afia Nkwanta teaching hospital.

However, KATH continued and still serves the purpose of referral point for emergency cases from the Western North Region.

The delegation from the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, who represented Katakyie kwasi Bumagama II Omanhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, included,
Nana Kwasi Ofori Bodihene who doubles as the Adontehe of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Nana Elluo Panyin III (Nsuonsuahene and Kyidomhene, Nana Yaw Badu (Amafiehene and Twafohene of Sefwi Wiawso Tradtional Area, Nana Yaw Agyemang Badu (Abusuapanyi).

The rest were Abakomahene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Nana Gyabeng (Denchemuasuahene & Abesehene of Sefwi Wiawso, Nana Adu Kwasi Batafour ( Kankyiabohene and Nkosohene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Oheneba Osei Tutu Ntotoyehene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Nana kofi Nkuah ( Ahwiahene and Dwantuahene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Katakyie kyeame Yaw Berko and Katakyie kyeame Tsikwa respectively.
