The Deputy National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ruth Dela Seddoh, has expressed optimism about the party securing massive votes in the Ashanti region, given the enthusiastic reception.

Today, the Youth Wing together with the Traders and Artisans Network and the Graduate Brigade of the NDC embarked on a retail campaign in the Kumasi Central Business District, sharing key party campaign messages with traders.

The campaign, starting from the Manhyia Palace traffic light, passed through Dr Mensah, Aboabo station, Roman Hill, and Kejetia market, distributing party-branded flyers, and engaging traders with key messages.

The traders enthusiastically received the NDC team, jamming to campaign songs, and displaying “we are changing” gestures in the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) strongest hold.

The NDC’s Deputy National Youth Organiser attributed the warm reception to the region’s disappointment with the NPP’s bad governance and economic hardship.

Ruth Dela Seddoh noted that the region is no longer the NPP’s strongest hold, expressing optimism that the NDC’s social intervention policies will secure massive votes in the region and nationwide in the December polls.

For his part, the National Coordinator for Traders and Artisans Network of the NDC, Nicodemus Dery, was excited about the traders’ reception.

The Director of the Graduate Brigade of the NDC, Dr Joseph Yensu, also appealed to electorates to support NDC win election 2024.
