Patrick Opoku Fofie, popularly known as Patoo,a contender for the Ashanti Regional Organiser position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, promising to prioritise the interests of every party member if elected.

He is campaigning on the message that “Every Party Member Matters,” with a pledge to promote unity, strengthen grassroots participation and ensure that members across the region have a voice in the affairs of the party.

Mr. Opoku Fofie, who is contesting for the position with ballot number 2, believes that effective party organisation must be built on the collective strength of the grassroots and the active participation of members at all levels.

His campaign slogan, “Experience You Can Trust, Leadership You Deserve,” also underscores his appeal for support from delegates as the NDC prepares to elect officers to steer its affairs in the Ashanti Region.

GRASSROOTS AT THE CENTRE.

The campaign places particular emphasis on recognising the contributions of ordinary party members, who constitute the foundation of the NDC’s electoral strength and organisational structures.
According to the message conveyed by his campaign, every member deserves recognition, respect and the opportunity to contribute to the party’s growth and development.

The approach is intended to promote a sense of belonging among members while strengthening cooperation between the party’s regional leadership, constituency executives, branch officers and supporters.
Mr. Opoku Fofie is seeking to position himself as a candidate who appreciates the importance of grassroots mobilisation and the need to build a united front ahead of future electoral contests.
Political observers have consistently highlighted the importance of effective organisation, sustained engagement with supporters and cooperation among party structures in determining electoral performance, particularly in politically competitive regions such as Ashanti.
EXPERIENCE AND LEADERSHIP
The candidate’s campaign message also places emphasis on experience, trust and responsible leadership.
By presenting himself as a candidate offering “leadership you deserve,” Mr. Opoku Fofie is appealing to delegates to consider a leadership approach that places members’ concerns at the centre of decision-making.
The regional organiser’s position is considered important to the party’s mobilisation efforts, coordination of constituency and branch activities, communication with the grassroots and implementation of organisational strategies.
The officeholder is also expected to help maintain effective working relationships among party officers and support initiatives aimed at expanding the party’s reach across the region.
For Mr. Opoku Fofie, the central message of his campaign is that the strength of the party depends not only on its leadership but also on how effectively the contributions of its members are recognised and harnessed.
CALL FOR SUPPORT
With ballot number 2, Mr. Opoku Fofie is urging delegates to support his bid to become the next Ashanti Regional Organiser of the NDC.
His campaign message seeks to rally members around a shared commitment to unity, participation and organisational effectiveness.
The emphasis on ensuring that every party member matters is also an appeal for a party structure in which members feel valued and encouraged to contribute to collective goals.
As the contest for regional executive positions gathers momentum, the outcome is expected to shape the direction of the party’s organisational activities in the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Opoku Fofie’s message remains clear: experience, trust and inclusive leadership should be the foundation of a stronger NDC in the Ashanti Region.
