MTN Foundation Commissions STEM Library in Wiamoase

The MTN Foundation has commissioned an ICT library in Wiamoase, a community in Ashanti to promote educational growth and development.

The state-of-the-art Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) library is designed to equip students with IT skills.

The library, the first of its kind in the Ashanti Region, is part of MTN Foundation’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Similar libraries have been commissioned in Mamfe, Dansoman, and Akim Oda.

Details:
Robert Kuzoe, Head of MTN Ghana Foundation emphasized his outfit’s commitment to Education and other important sectors of the economy.

He streseed that the Foundation currently focuses attention on three key areas namely Education, Health, and Economic Empowerment.

He therefore encouraged students to make the most of this opportunity.

The Foundation, he stressed aims at providing Ghanaian students with same advantages as their peers in more privileged areas.

Background Information:
The commissioned library is equipped with robotic equipment, laptops, and desktops to support STEM education.

Appreciation:
The Chief of Wiamoase, Nana Boakye Yiadom I, praised MTN Foundation for the initiative.

He urged the students to embrace digital literacy and make use of the facility to learn digital skills.

Nana Boakye Yiadom urged the authorities to practice good maintenance culture to ensure the longevity of the Library.
