KMA boss commends ongoing construction of Ashanti Regional minerals commission’s office

The Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Agyemang Boadi , has expressed his commendation for the ongoing construction of the Minerals Commission’s regional office at Ridge-Danyame.

During a working visit to the project site, the Mayor emphasized the importance of maintaining strong connections with all government agencies operating within the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) .

He however commended Mr Martin Ayisi, Chief Executive Officer of Minerals Commission for his commitment and dedication towards the progress of the commission.

Key Highlights of the Mayor’s Statement

– The Mayor’s duty to stay informed about agencies under his jurisdiction to report to the President when necessary.

– Satisfaction with the progress of the construction, describing it as a much-needed development.
– Recognition of Kumasi’s significant contributions to Ghana’s mineral extraction sector, warranting a befitting facility

The construction project, which commenced in December 2021, is slated for completion by the end of August 2025. Upon completion, the facility is expected to bolster the operations of the Minerals Commission in the Ashanti Region and beyond.

 

“Kumasi deserves a befitting facility like this, especially given our significant contributions to mineral extraction,” Hon. Ofori Boadi noted .

This tour highlights the Mayor’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure development and institutional support within the Kumasi metropolis, underscoring his proactive approach to fostering regional growth and development.
