The National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has donated GHC60,000 to the Saviour Church of Ghana to support the bereaved families of 16 youth members who tragically lost their lives in a road accident.
Speaking at the church today at Obogu,a community in the Asante Akim South District in the Ashanti Region ,Mr. Asiedu Nketia expressed his condolences to the families and prayed for God’s mercies on the departed souls.
He emphasized that God has a reason for everything that happens, and it’s essential to give thanks to God in all circumstances.
The NDC National Chairman revealed that he had sent a representative, Justice Yeboah, to the church immediately after hearing about the tragic incident.
Mr.Asiedu Nketia advised the church to pray for the NDC party, seeking to prevent future misfortunes in Ghana.
In addition to the GHC50,000 donated by the National Chairman, the party, through the Genda Ministry, contributed GHC10,000 to the church.
The donation aims to provide support to the bereaved families during this difficult time.
The NDC’s gesture demonstrates their commitment to standing in solidarity with Ghanaians during times of sorrow and tragedy.
The National Chairman was accompanied by the Ashanti Regional minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti regional NDC chairman, Augustus Andrews Nana Akwasi, Mr Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, Kumasi Mayor, Hon Isham Alhassan, Regional Organizer and Ashanti regional political coordinator in charge of government business, Mr Baah Achamfour, acting Ashanti regional secretary.
Other dignitaries included DCE for Ahafo Ano South-West, Hon Mba Zachariah, DCE Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon Wisdom Boamah, MCE, Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon Kwasi Adusei , MCE ,Ahafo Ano North and Madam Eunice ohenewaa, MCE Ejisu.
