Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has publicly endorsed Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, in his bid to become the next Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking at the commissioning of a new NPP constituency office in Bantama on September 19, 2025, Akufo-Addo referred to COKA as the “incoming chairman,” drawing enthusiastic applause from party supporters .
Former President Akufo-Addo’s endorsement signals strategic intent as the NPP positions itself for a comeback in 2028, with the Ashanti Region chairmanship emerging as a crucial battleground.
He emphasized the NPP should campaign on achievements during his administration and that of former President Kufuor.
