The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has issued an evacuation notice for all individuals and businesses operating along the Santasi-Ahodwo stretch of the road.
This directive is in preparation for a major road construction project aimed at constructing a dual carriage road from Santasi to Ahodwo roundabout, connecting to the Asokwa Interchange.
Car dealers, mechanic shops, taxi operators, squatters, temporary structure owners, and other traders along the specified road stretch are required to vacate.
All affected persons must vacate the area by October 30, 2025.
The Government of Ghana secured a grant from the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the construction project.
Effective Date of evacuation enforcement is November 1, 2025.
The KMA urges full compliance with the directive to facilitate timely project completion.
