MTN Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to bridging the digital divide in the Upper West Region through a stakeholders’ forum held in Wa.
The event brought together community leaders, partners, media representatives, and loyal customers to discuss ongoing projects, infrastructure developments, and social impact initiatives.
At the engagement it was established that,MTN has invested over GH¢1 billion in digital infrastructure across Ghana in the past five years, with GH¢240 million earmarked for the current year to expand fibre optic coverage and strengthen 4G networks.
Again, the company launched Abena.ai, Ghana’s first multilingual AI voice assistant, supporting major local languages, and introduced the MTN DigiFest platform and MoMo Business App to support SMEs.
MTN prioritizes transparency, gender inclusivity, and data privacy, aligning with global digital compliance norms.
The forum is part of MTN’s nationwide engagement initiative, aiming to foster open dialogue and ensure services remain responsive to community needs. Local stakeholders commended MTN’s contributions to development and suggested establishing satellite service points to enhance customer experience.
