The Otumfuo Sumankwaahene, Baffour Asabre Kogyawoasu II, has appealed to the government of Ghana to support the EKK Charity Foundation in its endeavors to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and the nation as a whole.

The Sumankwaahene made this call during a media interaction, endorsing the foundation’s upcoming one-week intercessory prayers for Ghana, scheduled to take place from November 10-16, 2025, at the Heroes Park, Kumasi Sports Stadium.

The theme for the prayer exercise is “I Timothy 2:1-8,” and it is expected to bring together former Presidents, Nananom, the clergy, and the sitting President.

According to the Sumankwaahene, the foundation’s efforts go beyond Christianity and are aimed at promoting the well-being of Ghanaians.

He emphasized that the government should support the foundation to enable it to do more for the benefit of individuals and the nation.

The Sumankwaahene also used the occasion to appeal to the government to enroll all sicknesses under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) without discrimination.

He stressed that healthcare delivery should be free for all, and the NHIS should cover all diseases, not just minor ones.

Dr. Evans Kwofie Kwafo, Founder and Leader of EKK Charity Foundation, called on the general public to participate in the prayer exercises, saying it is an opportunity for Ghanaians to come together and seek God’s intervention in the country’s challenges.

As part of the organization’s activities, there will be a float and health walk around the Santasi roundabout and its catchment areas.

The EKK Charity Foundation has been involved in various philanthropic activities, including supporting breast cancer patients, donating to lactating mothers, and providing essential items to vulnerable communities .
