Asante Mampong Difie Square to Host 7-Municipality Farmers’ Day Extravaganza

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has officially announced the venue and scope for this year’s highly anticipated Regional Farmers’ Day Celebration.

The momentous event, designed to celebrate and honour the dedication of the region’s hardworking farmers and fishers, will take place at the Mampong Difie Square.

In a move aimed at fostering regional unity and maximizing the impact of the celebration, Dr. Amoakohene confirmed that the event will bring together seven neighbouring municipalities spanning the Sekyere and Kwabre zones.

This collaborative approach underscores the regional administration’s commitment to recognizing the broad spectrum of agricultural contributions across the area.

The Minister specified the list of participating administrative areas that will be converging for the celebration:

Mampong Municipal Assembly

,Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly,

Kwabre East Municipal Assembly,

Sekyere South District Assembly,

Sekyere East District Assembly,

Sekyere Central District Assembly and

Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly

Dr. Amoakohene issued a strong call to action, urging every individual, community member, and stakeholder to actively participate in the celebration.

“This is a significant regional event as we celebrate and honour the hardworking farmers and fishers whose dedication continues to support and nourish our nation,” the Minister stated. “Their tireless efforts form the backbone of our economy and food security, and we must collectively show our appreciation for their commitment to excellence in the agricultural and fishing sectors.”

The celebration promises to be a vibrant showcase of the region’s agricultural prowess, featuring exhibitions, cultural displays, and the official awards ceremony to recognize the most outstanding producers.
