Kwabre East MCE Leads Clean-Up Exercise Ahead of Festive Season

The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwabre East, Hon. Joseph Amankwah, has led a community clean-up exercise in Mamponteng, the municipal capital, as part of efforts to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment ahead of the festive season.

Addressing the media after the exercise, Hon. Amankwah emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment, noting that cleaner surroundings not only improve public health but also contribute to the attractiveness and economic potential of the municipality.

Hon. Amankwah appealed to residents to uphold high standards of hygiene, stressing that indiscriminate littering and dumping of waste in gutters pose serious health risks.

He highlighted the Assembly’s commitment to improving waste management and urged residents to support these efforts .

The clean-up exercise is part of the Assembly’s broader initiatives to enhance sanitation and public health in the municipality. Earlier, the Assembly had embarked on a decongestion exercise to address congestion caused by traders selling on pavements and improve pedestrian movement .
