Over GH¢300k equipment destroyed in Kasoa fire outbreak

A fire outbreak in a printing press in Kasoa has destroyed equipment worth over GHs 300,000.00.

According to Victoria Adobea, owner of the affected business- Suit Printing Press- the fire incident occurred around 5 am on Sunday, March 29, during a rainstorm.

Even though the fire service was promptly notified, their response yielded no positive results, as the fire spread through the business’s main operating zone.

Large-format printers and other installations were completely burnt.

According to the owner, eyewitnesses recount having seen smoke emanating from the facility moments after an explosion of the power transformer in the area, causing her to believe the disaster might have resulted from a fluctuation in power.

She has appealed for support to bounce back into business.

This is the second fire incident in the Central Business District of Kasoa in less than one week.

A recent incident destroyed items worth over GHS 1.5million in a phone shop in the same area.
