The former Ashanti regional Minister under NDC and Member of Parliament for Asunafo South in the Ahafo Region ,Hon.Eric Opoku has said that Ashantis love NPP and sacrifice their votes for them but the NPP starve them with development anytime they are in government.
He said,it’s about time Ashantis vote base on development and not party colours.
According to him,the NPP claim to have Asanteman at heart but always take them for granted after winning elections with their massive votes.
He said, since Independence, anything profitable in the region was done by the NDC .
He made mentioned of the magnificent Kejetia market which has been furnished with clinic,police station,fire station, school ,CCTV cameras , among others.
He added that, the construction of kumawu,Tepa,Fomena,Afari,Bekwai,Sewua hospitals and other satellite markets at Asawase,Atonsu o,Tafo etc as the legacies of John Dramani Mahama,the president Ashantis have never voted for.
Mr..Eric Opoku revealed at the NDC’s Town Hall Meeting held today at KNUST campus that ,he held a whopping twenty-one meetings in Kumasi before the Kejetia market was constructed.
He said ,he encountered alot of challenges as the then Ashanti regional Minister before this beautiful Kejetia market was constructed.
He announced that, anything good in the Ashanti region is by the hard work and dedication of the NDC.
“My well respected the people in the Ashanti region, please don’t be deceived by the NPP because they always take you for granted after you’ve voted for them.
