Modesta Impact Initiative, a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving lives and transforming communities through outreach programs, health services, education, and women empowerment, continues to make a significant impact across various communities in Ghana.
Guided by its slogan, “Impacting Today, Transforming Tomorrow,” the organization has consistently demonstrated its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and creating opportunities for a better future.
Through its numerous interventions, Modesta Impact Initiative has brought hope and smiles to many individuals, particularly women and young girls who often face social and economic challenges.
As part of activities marking this year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day, celebrated globally on May 28, 2026, the organization visited Atobiase R/C Primary School in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.
The outreach focused on reproductive health education, where female students received practical guidance on menstrual hygiene management, personal care during menstruation, and essential reproductive health knowledge relevant to their age and development.
The educational session sought to break myths and misconceptions surrounding menstruation while empowering young girls with the confidence and knowledge needed to manage their menstrual health safely and with dignity.
Facilitators emphasized the importance of maintaining proper hygiene, understanding bodily changes during adolescence, and making informed decisions regarding their health.
To further support the students and other women, Modesta Impact Initiative donated more than 5000 sanitary pads valued at over GH¢10,000.
The donation is expected to help reduce absenteeism among female students and ensure that menstrual challenges do not hinder their education.
Earlier this month, the organization also extended its outreach efforts to the Kumasi Female Prisons as part of activities commemorating Mother’s Day.
During the visit, members of the initiative provided facility support, words of encouragement, and motivational engagements aimed at promoting the wellbeing and rehabilitation of inmates.
In addition, the organization donated materials to support the refurbishment of the prison’s salon facility, an intervention intended to enhance vocational opportunities and improve the living conditions of inmates as they prepare for reintegration into society.
Officials of the Kumasi Female Prisons expressed appreciation for the gesture and commended Modesta Impact Initiative for its genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and contributing to their welfare and rehabilitation.
Speaking with the originator and leader of Modesta Impact Initiative, Dr. Modesta Abbem, she explained that the organization was established with the vision of driving positive and systemic change in society, particularly among women .
