The Ashanti Regional Administrator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Gausu Moroh Bamba, popularly known as Alhaji Obideaba Jnr, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy National Youth Organiser of the party.
In a declaration of intent released on Tuesday, Alhaji Obideaba Jnr said his decision was driven by conviction, a deep sense of duty and an unwavering commitment to the ideals and vision of the NDC.
Currently serving as the Ashanti Regional Administrator of the party and Regional Manager of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), he said he was ready to offer his experience and leadership to strengthen the party’s youth wing ahead of the 2028 general election.
He stressed that the NDC’s youth front remained a critical force in grassroots mobilisation and electoral success, expressing confidence that with effective organisation and unity, the party could improve its electoral fortunes and retain power in 2028.
According to him, the time had come to intensify grassroots engagement, consolidate the gains of the party and empower young members to play more active roles in advancing the NDC’s development agenda.
Alhaji Obideaba Jnr called on party members, particularly the youth, to rally behind a common vision of unity, hard work and commitment to ensure victory in the next general election.
“Let’s get the legwork done together. Let’s consolidate our gains and secure victory in 2028,” he stated.
His declaration adds to the growing contest for key national executive positions as the NDC prepares for its internal elections ahead of the next electoral cycle.
