Former Fox FM Producer Frank Acheampong Dies After Illness

A former radio producer and reporter, Mr Frank Acheampong, has died after a period of illness.
Mr Acheampong passed away on Thursday morning, according to family sources and close associates.

During his broadcasting career, he worked with a number of radio stations in Kumasi, including Fox FM, Metro FM, Sikka FM and Boss FM, where he served as both a producer and reporter.

He was widely known among colleagues for his dedication to journalism, commitment to producing quality radio content and willingness to mentor young broadcasters entering the profession.

News of his death has been met with shock and sadness within the media fraternity in the Ashanti Region, with many former colleagues and friends paying tribute to his contribution to radio broadcasting.

Several journalists who worked with him described him as hardworking, calm and professional, recalling his passion for news gathering and programme production.

Throughout his career, Mr Acheampong contributed to news reporting and the production of current affairs programmes, earning the respect of both management and co-workers at the various stations where he served.

Family members indicated that he had been battling an illness for several months before his demise.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by the family.

His death marks another loss to the media industry in the Ashanti Region, where he spent much of his professional life serving audiences through radio journalism.
