PUMA ENERGY COMMENDS NPA FOR BUSINESS-FRIENDLY REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT

The Head of Puma Energy for Africa, Mr. Ben Ouattara, has praised the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) for creating a supportive regulatory environment that has enabled the company to grow its operations in Ghana.
Mr. Ouattara made the remarks on Friday when he paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive of the NPA, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, Esq., as part of his working visit to the country.
He expressed appreciation to the Authority for its continuous cooperation and constructive engagement with Puma Energy, stressing that the cordial relationship between the regulator and the company has contributed significantly to the firm’s success in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
Receiving the delegation, Mr. Tameklo reaffirmed the NPA’s commitment to promoting a stable and investor-friendly business climate in line with the vision of President John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, the President is focused on creating an enabling environment where the private sector can drive economic growth, create jobs and contribute to national development.
He explained that the NPA remains dedicated to supporting licensed petroleum marketing companies through transparent regulation and policies that encourage investment while safeguarding industry standards.
Mr. Tameklo noted that the Authority will continue to work closely with industry players to ensure that businesses in the downstream petroleum sector operate efficiently, remain competitive and obtain reasonable returns on their investments.
The meeting also reinforced the strong partnership between the NPA and Puma Energy, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to promoting a vibrant, sustainable and well-regulated petroleum industry in Ghana.
