“Agenda People’s NALAG”:The Need To Elect Kusi, Kwaku Eric As President

It is evident that ,the National Association of Local Authorities Of Ghana (NALAG) will be going to the polls to elect it’s president in March,2022.
Among the candidates,one person who  stands tall is the District Chief Executive (DCE) for  Adansi North in the Ashanti region,Hon. Eric Kwaku Kusi.
Research conducted by this portal shows that,Hon.Kusi Kwaku Eric,was a member of works sub-committee in the Adansi North District from 2006-2009.
 
Again ,he was a member, social services sub-committee from 2009 to 2010 in that same district.
 
He served as an assembly member for KUSA electoral area from 2006 to 2017.
 
Additionally ,he was the Chairman , Justice and security sub- committee from 2011 to 2013.
 
Hon.Kusi Kwaku Eric was the  Chairman,works sub-committee from 2013-2015,also  Chairman Public Relations and complaints committee from 2016-2017.
 
He again served as Chairman,ARIC in 2016-2017, Secretary , conference of presiding members, Ashanti region from 2016-2017.
 
He was the Presiding member,Adansi North District from 2016-2017 and between 2019-2021 he was the  1st Trustee,NALAG.
 
From 2017 till date he is the Chairman of District Security Council .
 
Also,from 2017 till date,he is the Chairman , Executive Committee , Adansi North District and currently the District Chief Executive, Adansi North.
 
Having gotten all these experiences in the various offices that he worked as an assembly member ,he qualifies to be the president of NALAG because he understands the concept and the wellbeing of the association.

NALAG is a nationwide organisation and the mouthpiece of all Local Authorities (Metropolitan, Municipal and Districts Assemblies – MMDAs) in Ghana.

VISION STATEMENT OF HON.KUSI KWAKU ERIC

1.The welfare of Hon members would be my number ONE priority, God willing if I am given the nod.

2.There is strength in numbers and NALAG has the numbers. Therefore, let us use our numbers to push for our own welfare.

3 .To make NALAG ‘the People’s NALAG’ (People Centred)

4.Flow of information to Hon Members on regular basis. 

5.Sub-structures would work effectively (Functionality of sub-structures).

6.To make NALAG vibrant, relevant, demand driven and not only an executive one but adaptive too. 

7.There will be team work and all-inclusive governance. ‘One man show’ will be a thing of the past, God willing.
