Abofrem Queen mother feeds hundred widows on New year’s day

Nana Akosua Nkrumah Adasah lll, Queenmother of Nkawie-Abofrem in the Atwima Mponua District of Ashanti Region has fed Hundreds of widows on the New year’s day.

The gesture was geared towards putting a smiles on the faces of the beneficiary widows during the Christmas festivities.
The items presented by the Queen mother to the widows includes bags of rice, cooking oil, GTP clothes and fowls to the widows.
The beneficiaries who could not hide their joy and excitement for the Yuletide
and New year gifts, expressed their profound gratitude and the blessing of Almighty for Nana Adasah, pray to God to grant her  good health and long life to continue putting smiles in the faces of the needy and vulnerable in the society to experience the love of God in their lives.
According to them, things would have been difficult for them throughout the  year, for most of them did not have nothing to laid their hands on if not for the intervention of Nana Adasah in the occasion like this.
Nana Akosua Nkrumah Adasah lll, at the presentation explained that, the gesture was to make the widows feels that society does not forgotten or abandoned them especially in the festive season, hence decided to donate to the very valuables.
She disclosed that, about hundreds of the vulnerable were fed  on the December 30th 2021in Accra the nation’s capital, and some some selected Children’s Homes in Kumasi before extending the gesture Abofrem community to put a smile on faces of her  beloved widows, for widowhood is part of nature and inevitable and for that matter decided to give out to them in festive season.
The Queen admonished society to stop maltreating  and underrate widows by referring to them as witches for they they are our relatives and equally humans like any other person.
