Adansi Asokwa Residents Chase K T Hammond For Development After 24 Years Of Neglect

Residents of Biakwaso , Nyamebekyere, Mensakrom and other equally important communities in the Adansi Asokwa constituency of Ashanti region have expressed concern about the deplorable state of some roads,bad network, CHP compound and lack of other developmental projects in the area.

They have, therefore appealed to John Dramani Mahama,flagbearer of the NDC , and the Parliamentary Candidate for the area,Hon Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi -Dorani to address the issues should they come to power in 2025.

Touring the constituency with the Ashanti Regional Chairman and his campaign team, today we were made to understand that almost all the communities in the constituency have unmet rural telephone needs, and do not understand why there are still lack of physical development in the area.

According to them KT Hammond has been their MP for the past 24 years but cannot boost of a single developmental projects in the aforementioned communities so they are appealing to the Ashanti regional NDC chairman to speak to former President John Dramani Mahama and the PC for the area to help address their needs.

Nana Kutin Nuamah, Krontihene of Biakwaso community officially appealed to the NDC regional chairman to help give them biogas to be using as place of convenience.

He again appealed to the NDC leaders to help construct CHP compound for the community since residents seek medical attention at Fumso and other nearby Districts for the lack of health facilities in the area.

At a community durbar , a responsible citizen from community was not happy about inactive service in the area.

According to him, rural telephone pole was erected by KT Hammond (MP) for the area barely four years ago but cannot do anything with it since it not functionable.

He then appealed to the NDC to help address those needs because they believe in the work and ideologies of the NDC.

Responding to their calls, Chairman Augustus Andrews, (Chairman Nana Kwasi) promised to put their request before His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and would ensure their requests are honoured should they give the NDC 85% of their votes for a resounding victory in election 2024.

He however pledged two packets of roofing sheets and cements to help build the biogas toilet facility the Krontihene requested for.
