Ade Napoleon, the Asokwa Constituency Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has extended a hand of generosity to the Muslim community in the constituency with a timely donation to mark the beginning of Ramadan.

At a brief but significant presentation ceremony held yesterday, the constituency executive donated several bags of sugar, boxes of tea bags, cartons of milk, and an undisclosed sum of money to ward coordinators.

The items are intended to support Muslim faithful as they embark on the holy month of fasting and spiritual reflection.

Ramadan, a sacred period observed by Muslims worldwide, is characterized by fasting from dawn to sunset, intensified prayers, charity, and acts of kindness.

Recognizing the spiritual and physical demands of the month, Ade Napoleon said the gesture was aimed at easing the burden on Muslim families while encouraging unity, peace, and continued prayers for the nation.

In his remarks, he underscored the importance of religious harmony and national cohesion, especially during sacred seasons. He urged beneficiaries to remember Ghana in their prayers, asking Allah to continue blessing the country with peace, stability, and prosperity.

He further prayed for divine guidance and strength for members and leaders of the NDC as they work toward the development of the nation.

“This season is one of sacrifice, reflection, and compassion,” Ade Napoleon stated. “As a party that believes in social solidarity and inclusiveness, it is important that we stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters. We ask for their prayers for Ghana and for Allah’s continued peace and blessings upon our land.”

Ward coordinators who received the items expressed gratitude on behalf of the Muslim communities, describing the donation as thoughtful and timely. They assured the Vice Chairman that the items would be distributed fairly and used to support fasting members across the constituency.

The gesture forms part of the NDC’s broader commitment to community engagement and social support, particularly during important religious observances. It also reflects the longstanding tradition of political and community leaders extending goodwill to faith-based groups during Ramadan.

As Muslims in Asokwa join millions around the world in observing the holy month, the donation by Ade Napoleon stands as a symbol of unity, compassion, and shared responsibility — reinforcing the values of peace and collective progress that underpin Ghana’s democratic journey.
