Management of AFriHep ,a non governmental organization has donated items worth GHC 7,000 to the Kumasi Children’s Home in the Ashanti Region.
The items included Cartons of Milo,milk, disinfectants,soaps , boxes of Chicken, among others.
According to management,the donation was to better the lives of the vulnerable in the society.
Their mission is to make people lives better , healthier and happier through humanitarian service , empowerment programs and the use of technology.
Presenting the items to the Children’s Home was the Operations Manager of AFriHeP, Kofi Beau-Nunoo Nyarko.
He explained why the donation was done , indicating they selected Kumasi Children’s Home because the CEO of the foundation is from Kumasi and this was their maiden edition of the donation.
Manageress of Kumasi Children’s Home , Mabel Penamang Amponsah after receiving the items called on organisations and philanthropists to come to the aid of the home.
She said though the government is doing its best, it would need the support of the general public to augment the government efforts.
