Agona West MP Commissions Maternity Block At Agona Nsuansa

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West Constituency, Cynthia Mamle Morrison as part of her working visit in her constituency has today 10th March,2023 commissioned maternity ward for the Nsuansa Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound.

The facility which is aimed at improving access to health care delivery in the area is expected to serve residents and non-residents within and outside the community.

The Nsuansa CHPS compound, since its establishment years back by the Former Member of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Kweku Obodai had been without a decent maternity ward and this has affected maternal health services in the Nsuansa community.

During the commissioning, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison, said pregnant women in the community have been facing difficulties during labor due to the lack of maternity ward at the facility hence the provision of block.

She thanked the chiefs and people of the community for keeping faith in her and her party (New Patriotic Party ) and admonished the pregnant women within the community to patronize the services of the facility.

On Her part, the Municipal Health Director, Mrs. Bertha Ewonam Atta, who received the facility on behalf of the municipal Directorate, thank the MP for the gesture and urged the community members to take proper care of the facility.

Meanwhile, the chief and people of the the community also expressed their appreciation to the MP for the facility.

The MP was joined by the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Gibrine Tanko, Mr. Frederick Boateng ( 1st Vice), Hon. Solomon Forson ( 2nd Vice), Hon. Anthony Kwame Kum ( Constituency Secretary), Mr. David Essandoh ( Digital Org), Mrs. Florence Yamoah ( Const. Women’s Org), Mr. Kofi Osei Somuah ( Communications Director), Mr. Coach ( Acting Cordinator, Ahomadonko, and some polling station officers to officially commission the facility.
