The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Hon. Abubakar Sedik, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, paid a working visit to the people of Bonkwaso No.1 to officially introduce himself and express his appreciation for the overwhelming support he received during the 2024 general elections.
The visit, which drew community members and local leaders, provided a platform for the DCE to interact with the people and take stock of pressing development concerns in the area.
As part of the engagement, Hon. Abubakar Sedik toured two major self-help initiatives, the community-led Islamic School project and an ongoing computer lab project.
‘I commended you for your commitment to education and development. I pledge my full support to ensure the successful completion of the projects”, he said.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional authorities, Nana Senya, the Mmranteɛhene, welcomed the DCE and reaffirmed the chief’s readiness to collaborate with the Assembly for the development of the area.
Other dignitaries present included Hon. Kwao Francis, the Assembly Member for the electoral area and Mr. Mohammed Seid, headmaster of the Islamic School.
