The Amenfi Central District Assembly has commissioned a newly constructed Six-Unit Classroom Block at Manso Nkwanta No. 2/Guabase, a project generously funded by the Government and People of Japan.
The ceremony, held on December 10, 2025, marked a significant milestone in the district’s educational development and underscored the strong partnership between Japan and Ghana.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including Hon. Peter Amponsah, District Chief Executive, the District Coordinating Director, the District Education Director, district officials, and the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Hiroshi Yoshimoto. The event highlighted the collaborative efforts of the two nations to improve access to quality education in Ghana.
The Six-Unit Classroom Block, delivered under Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, is a testament to the strong friendship and growing cooperation between Japan and Ghana. The project reflects a shared commitment to improving education, a key driver of socio-economic development. The new facility is expected to enhance the learning environment, increase access to education, and contribute to the district’s human capital development.
In his address, Hon. Amponsah expressed gratitude to the Government and People of Japan for their generous support, acknowledging the impact of the project on the community. The Japanese Ambassador, His Excellency Hiroshi Yoshimoto, reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s development, emphasizing education as a key area of cooperation.
The commissioning of the classroom block is part of the district’s efforts to improve educational infrastructure and outcomes. The Amenfi Central District Assembly is committed to working with development partners to deliver quality services and promote socio-economic growth.
