Apostle J.K Appiah Calls for Peace In Ghana’s Upcoming 2024 Elections

The General Overseer cum Presiding Bishop of Faith Outreach Ministries International has called for a peaceful transition of power after the declaration of results of the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Apostle John Kwaku Appiah has admonished that, if NDC is declared winner, the NPP should accept defeat and handover power peacefully.

He also called on members of the opposition party (NDC) to also accept defeat and shun resorting to violence as though it is the only means of showing disatisfaction.

The Kumasi-based clergy made the above call in an exclusive interview with the Punch

“Elections are not a period of combat. Let’s commit to peace and be extension, a peaceful election”.

Apostle J.K Appiah challenged Ghanaians to take great lesson from how peaceful the USA election was.

“It was very peaceful. No violence was recorded and there was nothing like demonstration against the electoral commission.

These must characterized Ghana’s upcoming elections”.

The clergy stressed that the sustainace of the peace in Ghana should be the ultimate interest of all political parties, adding that this should far outweigh the interest politicians have for their parties.
