Nana Owusu Apau II, Asenemasohene ,a community in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency of the Ashanti Region has predicted victory for the opposition National Democratic Congress ahead of election 2024.

According to him, as a traditional leader of the area he will do his possible best, speak to his subjects to vote the NDC into power.

He however condemned the insubordination attitude characterised by the ruling NPP government and it members.

He was of the view that ,his community has been neglected since the NPP took power and all effort to reach authorities for development has proved futile since the party responsible has no respect for traditional authorities.

He however pledged his unflinching support for the NDC ahead of the December polls.

He believes that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has a stronger chance of winning the upcoming general elections compared to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He continued by saying that voters’ decisions about whom to support will be heavily influenced by issues like job creation and economic management, among others which the NDC stands tall.

This, according to him will put the NPP at a disadvantage given the current economic hardship.

“In addition, multiple surveys have shown that economic management and job creation are going to be the most important issues during the election for voters which he believes will put the ruling NPP at a tight corner given the economic challenges that the country has faced over the last couple of years.

He used the occasion to praise the NDC Parliamentary candidate for the area, Osei Boamah Wisdom(Okumkɔm) , stating he’s respectful and knows the plight of everybody in the constituency.

“We will do our possible best to make sure NDC comes to power with Osei Boamah Wisdom as the first NDC MP for the area but don’t disappoint us. ” He appealed.

He made this known when the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, Chairman Nana Akwasi and his campaign team paid a courtesy call to his palace at Asenemaso this morning..
