Ashanti NDC Chairmanship Race: Chairman Bimpe Bounces Back To  Unseat Nana Akwasi

The Ashanti branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairmanship position is becoming a horse race  between Mr. Yaw Bimpeh and Augustus  Andrews Nana Akwasi the former chairman of the opposition party and the incumbent respectively.

Mr. Yaw Bimpeh who is touted of building the regional party office through his tenure as the chairman for the region and other constituencies, was of the view that Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo abysmal performance in government has make former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC more attractive comparing the two parties performance in governance.
He disclosed his intention to come back to the media in Kumasi last Saturday after vacating the position he was occupying in the last four years ago to ensure that winning the 2024 general elections becomes a mere formality especially in the Ashanti region for the total development of the country.
According to him Ghanaians experiences a lot of development when the opposition NDC is in government, and for that matter NDC need a united force and togetherness to ensure that winning the 2024 elections is attain to rescue our ailing economy back on track for development.
He expressed the hope that, he is winning their coming regional elections hands down, for he is tried and tested before, says he is ready to work with everybody in the party irrespective of one’s tribe or religious denominations in strengthen the party’s structures and to also empower the branch executives.
He disclosed that, his quest to ensure that the remaining constituencies to have their permanent offices is none negotiable when elect him to reoccupy the Ashanti regional chairmanship position.
