Ashanti Regional Minister Joins Matriculation Ceremony for National Apprenticeship Program

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene,yesterday attended the matriculation ceremony of newly recruited trainee artisans under the National Apprenticeship Program, a flagship initiative of the National Youth Authority.

The program provides free training in various crafts to equip young people with employable skills, promoting youth empowerment and development.

The program was commissioned by Hon. George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment. In the Ashanti Region, the initiative brings together approximately 470 masters and 2,350 students, offering them opportunities to acquire valuable skills and enhance their employability.

The National Apprenticeship Program aims to extend similar opportunities to all regions and constituencies, ensuring that no youth is left behind in the quest for skills and empowerment.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote youth development and create sustainable livelihoods across the country.

Stakeholders have expressed profound gratitude to H.E. John Dramani Mahama for this forward-looking social intervention, which is expected to transform lives and create opportunities for young people.
