Asokwa NDC PC unveils policy roadmap for total transformation

The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti region, Amoh Kamel has outlined its commitment to good governance, infrastructure development and business growth if elected the next MP and the first NDC MP for the area.

His policies are aimed at driving economic growth, promoting transparency and support for businesses and infrastructure at Kaase (an industrial community) and it adjoining communities.

 

Touring the constituency with the Ashanti Regional chairman and his campaign team today ,Amoh Kamel provided in-depth explanations to traditional leaders about his plans to transform Asokwa constituency after election 2025.

Speaking on infrastructure development, Amoh Kamel said developing the sector would propel economic growth and also improve on the quality of lives of citizens.

He said the his focus would be on critical areas such us market, road construction and reshaping and the construction of AstroTurf for the Kaase community.

Building police station to ensure safety of citizens isn’t far from his campaign plans, this he said will protect beneficiaries of the 24hr economy policy.

He will also revamp the Kaase market into ultramodern one to ensure conduceive environment for buying and selling.

He said in line with that, he together with John Dramani Mahama as the next President would construct new hospitals and upgrade existing healthcare facilities in the constituency.

He said the NDC was committed to building resilient infrastructure capable of withstanding challenges posed by climate change.

Speaking on the party’s business development policies, Chairman Augustus Andrews Nana Akwasi said the NDC is equipped with the right policies to restore investor confidence and alleviate financial pressures on businesses.

He expressed concern about the adverse effects of high taxes, the steep depreciation of the cedi, rising interest rate and increasing utility tariffs on both businesses and livelihoods.

According to him,the incoming John Mahama-led government will create a congenial business atmosphere and restore investor confidence, expand the indigenous entrepreneurial class by supporting Ghanaian owned and led businesses for job creation.

He mentioned some of the measures as contained in the NDC manifesto to include easing the tax burden by eliminating E-levy, COVID-19 the emissions levies; rationalising import duties and also offering tax incentives, financial support and reliable power through the 24-Hour Economy initiative.
