The New Patriotic Party (NPP)constituency branch at Asokwa on Sunday organised a one day training program for its pollings station organisers and women organizers.

The training was aimed at encouraging them to kick start their own mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to the media, Frank Bosompim Danso (Tomtom), Asokwa constituency organiser said the training programme was aimed at sharpening the organisational skills of the wing and to commence work ahead of the upcoming general elections.

“We are committed to winning every electoral area in 2024 and before we start the actual campaign we had to train our members so that they would know the right strategies to deploy to achieve our collective goal”, Mr Danso stressed.

REGIONAL ORGANISER:
Mr Francis Adomako, the Ashanti Regional Organiser for the NPP expressed happiness at the conduct and commitment of the participants.

He noted that the NPP can only win the 2024 elections when its polling station, constituency, regional and national executives commit to work beyond themselves to sell the party to the electorate.

Mr Adomako said the NPP had creditably distinguished itself with programmes and projects in the country, adding that the government was working to surmount the ongoing economic issues.

“We have work to do and we must commit to do so without waiting to be motivated before we do so because ours is a party that rewards hard work”, Mr Adomako charged participants.

RESOURCE PERSONS:
Dr Bernard Effah, lecturer at the Akenten Appiah Minkah University of Skills Technology and Education (AAMUSTED) urged the participants to learn more of the party’s programs and explain same to persons in their localities.

He noted that the best form of campaign was doing so at polling station and community levels.

Dr Smart A Sarpong, Lecturer and Director of Research and Innovations at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) admonished the party to check the voting statistics in Asokwa and work on the figures to their advantage.

He noted that politics is local and therefore the NPP should campaign on policies the party has implemented to serve the people in the Asokwa community since that was more effective than the harping on of national programmes.

DIGNITARIES:
Present at the one day program which was segmented in two phases to enable the large numbers to participate was Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah, Asokwa Municipal Chief Executive and Benjamin Fosu Nkromah Asokwa NPP Constituency chairman.

Others were Allen Gyimah, Deputy Secretary of Ashanti NPP, the Ashanti Regional Nasara coordinator as well as the Subin Women’s Organiser, Madam Ama Konadu.
