In a strongly worded statement posted on his official Facebook page, His Excellency Alhaji Said Sinare, former Ghana Ambassador to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, has responded fiercely to accusations made by Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for Assin South who recently warned that Ghana was on the verge of becoming a hub for cocaine trafficking and money laundering under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
Alhaji Said Sinare, the former National Vice chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress known for his sharp wit and unwavering patriotism, did not mince words in his rebuttal. He wasted no time labeling Hon. Ntim Nfodjor a “shameless, lying parasite,” accusing him of fabricating baseless fears for personal and political gain. The former ambassador referred to Nfodjor as “political vermin” and an “attention-starved clown,” asserting that such inflammatory rhetoric only damages national unity and serves no purpose other than to stir unnecessary panic in and beyond the country.
“His toxic narrative threatens the unity of our country,” Sinare emphasized, voicing his concern that the reckless spread of lies by individuals like Nfodjor could weaken the social fabric of the nation. Sinare also called for swift decisive action against those who engage in such harmful behavior, warning that it was critical to protect the integrity of public discourse to ensure that debates remain grounded in truth, not fear-mongering.
While Sinare did not dismiss the importance of being vigilant against criminal activities such as drug trafficking, he was quick to caution against baseless accusations. “Serious allegations must be backed by evidence and thorough investigations, not speculative claims,” Sinare stated, reinforcing that Ghana’s reputation should not be tarnished by unfounded rumors.
Alhaji Sinare, the light skinned Rawlings look-alike proudly highlighted his government’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking, particularly through the commendable work of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), which has successfully intercepted significant drug shipments at Kotoka International Airport. He emphasized that these efforts were a testament to the government’s commitment to protecting the nation from drug-related crimes while safeguarding Ghana’s global standing.
In closing, the NDC’s Zongo president, Alhaji Sinare called for unity and responsibility among Ghana’s leaders. He urged them to focus on addressing the real issues that affect the lives of Ghanaians and to refrain from indulging in divisive and harmful political rhetoric just to score cheap political points. “We need leaders who uplift our country, not those who exploit fear and misinformation for personal gain,” he declared, urging a shift toward more responsible, truth-driven political discourse.
