Banda DCE advices  residents to refrain from politicisation of New Market project

Mr Akone Emmanuel, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Banda in the Bono region has called on the residents and people of Banda to support the emerging New Market project devoid of political colorization or sentiment.

According to him, the emergence of the new market at Bongasi in the Banda District and within his jurisdiction is a very welcome news which he believe is welcome by all and sundry across Banda.

He stated that, the Banda traditional council, the chiefs and people of Banda across the District have shown a lot of interest and desire to help the market survive and thrive.

He moreover, lamented that, he has unfortunately come across some unsavory remarks making attempts to whip partizan political sentiments into the market discourse, a situation he described as very unpalatable and regretful.

He therefore, advise everybody to leave politics out of the market project and rather help in anyway that has the potential to scare their peaceful merchants and customers away.

He is of the view that, every concern citizens or stakeholders in Banda contribute their quota irrespective of one’s political sentiment or affiliation to make the market project successful.
He disclosed that,as the DCE for the area, has been personally involved as the the political head of the district to bring the the success of the project to help it boom.

He affirmed that, the chiefs and people on whose land the market project is been sites have done their part and for that matter, makes a passionate appeal to everyone to eschew any divisive comments and rather patronize the market to help it to grow and become one of the vibrant market in the region and the country as a whole.
