Apostle Kofi Nkansah-Sarkordie, the General Overseer of the Open Arms Ministry/Jesus Chapel in Kumasi says Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has no moral right to call for a debate on the economy with former President John Dramani Mahama.

He explained that the Vice President and the flag bearer of the NPP has already defeated his own position on the economy as he is on record to have said that one can do all the propaganda with the digits but “if the fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you”.

“He (Bawumia) is, therefore, not fit to call for such a debate on the economy, emphasizing that he (Apostle Nkansah-Sarkordie) would no longer accord former President Mahama the respect he deserves if he agrees to such a request for a debate.

Speaking to journalists last Friday to commemorate the ‘9th Spiritual Independence Celebration of the Nation Ghana’ in Kumasi, Saint Sark, as he is affectionately called, said the Vice President Dr. Bawumia’s consistence critique of the economy when the NPP was in opposition is haunting him now and that his choice of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate has even worsened the case.

Saint Sark, condemned the sharing of envelopes allegedly containing various sums of money to some Islamic Clerics in Accra and the Clergy in Kumasi by the NPP flag bearer which had gone viral on social media and shamed the clergy for stooping that low for receiving envelopes said to be containing GHc400 from the Vice President.

He said the clergy and the traditional leaders should be careful with the way they entertained the politicians when they visit their churches or palaces with various gifts and envelopes to seek their endorsement and cautioned that such enticements can easily lead to their disgrace.

Referencing and stressing on Jeremiah 17:11, Saint Sark said the family wealth of most known rich men in Kumasi and elsewhere in Ghana have gone waste either due to mismanagement by beneficiaries and some of their families engaged in family litigations because the source of such wealth were ill gotten and not genuine. END.
