The people of Bosomtwe constituency in the Ashanti Region have praised Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, the Minister of Education for making them proud as their Member of Parliament (MP).
They believe the exploits of their MP in the education sector in the last six years which has propelled him to become the substantive minister is bringing them great honour and recognition.
Dr.Adutwum’s in-depth knowledge in the educational sector and the dexterity with which he handles challenges in the education sector has earned him many admirers across the country and beyond.
His commitment to making education accessible to every Ghanaian child in line with the vision of the President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, according to his constituents, is giving them every reason to be proud of him.
They are excited that their choice of MP has been beneficial not only to them but to the entire nation as well.
According to them, alot of physical developmental projects has benefited the Constituency under his watch.
In a tour of the constituency yesterday it was detected that Dr.Osei Yaw Adutwum has fetched alot of physical developmental projects to almost every community in the Constituency.
We saw to the construction of six seater W/C facility at Osei Adutwum SHS , construction of 6- Unit Classroom Block at St. Micheal’s Tech/Vocational School ,Construction of 6 -Unit Classroom Block at St.George’s SHS at Kuntanase, Construction of Pavilion Dining Hall at St.George’s SHS at Kuntanase, Construction of 3-Storey Teachers’ Quarters at St.George’s SHS, Kuntanase.
Again,Boys Dormitory Block has also been built by the sector minister at Jachie -Pramso SHS.
Dr.Osei Yaw Adutwum has again built Girls’ Dormitory Block at Jachie-Pramso SHS together with the construction of 6- Unit Classroom Block at Osei Adutwum SHS.
The affable MP further constructed another 18- unit classroom block at Osei Adutwum SHS.
He has also Constructed an Administration block at Jachie-Pramso JHS alongside saw to the construction of an Assembly Hall at Jachie-Pramso SHS.
Under his watch,Beposo senior high school has also benefited from an administration block.
Again, Dr.Osei Yaw Adutwum saw to the construction of Bosomtwe Girls’ Science SHS at Deduako with the construction of 18 unit classroom block .
The darling MP also constructed Pavilion Dining Hall, Kitchen ,store room and fence Wall at Osei Adutwum SHS.
The Education Minister has also reshaped the state of Basic and Junior high school education in the area by constructing 6 Unit Classroom Block at Aputuogya D/A Primary.
He has also constructed 6 -Unit Classroom Block at Beposo D/A, Construction of 3 -Unit Classroom Block at Amakom D/A JHS,6 Unit Classroom Block at Sewua D/A JHS,6- seater W/C at Sewua D/A JHS,6- Unit Classroom Block at Jachie D/A JHS.
Bosomtwe Model Primary School has also benefited from 6 -Unit Classroom Block under the leadership of Dr.Osei Yaw Adutwum.
Bosomtwe STEM Academy has also been furnished with Library block from the sector minister.
Another 2- Storey building classroom block has been constructed at Anglican primary with additional 6 -Unit Classroom Block facility, among others.
Aside these tremendous physical developmental projects,the MP has also provided scholarships to over one hundred students to study engineering programs at various universities in the Country with Laptops and pocket money.
Most of the constituents upon our visit described Dr. Adutwum as a selfless person whose only desire as a politician is to facilitate the development of the constituency to improve the lives of the people.
“Dr. Adutwum is not the type of politician who would dish out money to the people but would rather invest in infrastructure for the benefit of all”, they indicated.
According to them ,the Education Minister believes in building a solid human resource base for the country through the provision of quality education at all levels of the education system.
They enumerated several projects initiated by Dr. Adutwum to promote science-based education as well as sponsorship for students in Bosomtwe to pursue science and technology-related courses in tertiary institutions.
