The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Augustus Andrews (Chairman Nana Akwasi) together with his campaign team has today toured the Suame constituency in the Ashanti Region to engage constituents and revitalise the NDC in readiness for the 2024 presidential and parliamentary election .
The tour was a transformative journey aimed at connecting with the supporters of Suame , spreading hope, and bringing unity to both past and present executives in the area for a resounding victory in election 2024 and also to officially introduce the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the area to them.
The tour served as a platform for Chairman Nana Akwasi to meet and interact with members from all walks of life, supporters, and sympathisers of the NDC within Suame constituency.
As part of the tour, he made crucial stops in key communities like Suame,Maakro, Kronum ,Kotoko, Breman,among others and engaged them to listen to their concerns, insights, and aspirations for a prosperous constituency.
The tour involved, town hall meetings and conversations with community chiefs.
The aim is to provide Suame constituency with renewed hope and reassurance in the second coming of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, flag bearer of the NDC.
The move is to prepare the party’s grassroots for the 2024 election.
The tour according to him is to bolster the NDC’s campaign and manifest a unified vision for a prosperous Ghana built on inclusivity, economic growth, and social justice.
Chairman Nana Akwasi believes in the transformative power of unity and national cohesion and continues to emphasise the importance of collective efforts in Building the Ghana we want and moving Ghana forward.
He used the occasion to expose the corrupt practices of the Akufo Adddo Bawumia led government, indicating it has subjected the Country into abject poverty.
He made it clear that NDC is for peace but peace can only prevail when there’s transparency and appealed to Nana mom to ensure that there’s is fairness and transparency in the Country.
On his part, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Suame, Frank Owusu Ansah, Promised to construct utramodern market at Maakro if he’s elected MP for the area.
He again promised to establish a nursing training college for Suame constituency to ensure tertiary education in the area.
He is poised to transform Suame constituency with his development oriented agenda if elected as the Member of Parliament for the area.
Promised to give commercial cars to constituents on work and pay policies, but will see to the reshaping and taring of major roads in the constituency first.
The chief of Maakro promised his support for the PC but advised the NDC to deliver on his promises if elected into office in the year 2025.
Adding that John Mahama has already won election 2024.
“Rally behind your PC to win Suame seat. He can’t do it alone so help him to win the seat for the first time. ” He added.
