Urinating on a regular basis helps to flush bacteria from the urinary tract. Aim to drink plenty of water all day.

1.Increase Vitamin C intake: Consuming Vitamin C-rich foods (such as citrus fruits) could help with UTIs.

Vitamin C is thought to kill off the bacteria that causes infection.

 

2.Cranberry juice can help; Cranberries contain compounds that may prevent bacteria from adhering to the bladder lining. Consider consuming unsweetened cranberry juice or cranberry supplements.

 

3.Take probiotics Probiotics, or beneficial microorganisms, can help maintain a healthy balance of bacteria in the gut and urinary tract. Look for probiotic-containing foods or supplements.

4.Focus on healthy hygiene Good hygiene is essential. After using the toilet, wipe from front to back to prevent bacteria from the rectum from entering the urethra.

5.Garlic; Garlic contains natural antimicrobial properties. Add fresh garlic to your diet or consider garlic supplements.

6.D-Mannose; D-Mannose is a sugar that may help keep bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract walls. It is available as a supplement.

7.Use a warm compress; Applying a warm compress to your lower abdomen can help relieve pain and inflammation.

Apply a clean cloth soaked in warm water to the affected area.

8.Baking soda ;Baking soda can help neutralise acidic urine and alleviate burning sensations while urinating. Drink half a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water once a day (not recommended for those following a low-sodium diet).

9.Epsom salt bath; A warm bath containing Epsom salt can help relieve UTI symptoms. Soak in a bath with a cup of Epsom salt for approximately 15 minutes.
