Obrempong Dwamena Dankwah Dwebisaw, the chief of Drobonso,District Capital of the Sekyere Afram Plains in the Ashanti Region , has made a passionate appeal to Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, to provide electricity to the Drobonso Community Day School and complete the road leading to the school.
The chief made this appeal during a courtesy call by Dr. Amoakohene to the Drobonso community last Friday.
Obrempong Dwamena Dankwah Dwebisaw expressed his gratitude to the minister for the government’s commitment to completing the abandoned Drobonso Community Day School project.
However, he highlighted the need for electricity and a completed road to facilitate the smooth operation of the school. “We are grateful for the government’s efforts to complete our school, but we also need electricity to power the school and a good road to enable students and teachers to access the school safely,” the chief said.
Dr. Amoakohene assured the chief and the community that his office would work tirelessly to address their concerns. “I understand the importance of electricity and a good road to the school, and I assure you that we will do everything possible to provide these amenities,” the minister said.
The minister’s assurance was met with applause and cheers from the community, who are eager to see the completion of the school project and the provision of basic amenities to support the school’s operations.
The appeal by the Drobonso chief and the minister’s response highlight the importance of community engagement and the need for government to prioritize the needs of local communities in its development agenda.
