A Ghanaian business morgue and the Chief of Sefwi Pataboso,Barima Osoaman Ackaah Panin ll, has constructed and handed over a mechanized borehole for Adukrom community in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.
The gesture followed a portable drinking water challenge that had been confronting the community over the years due to illegal mining activities.
The Chief, who is also the head of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Council, popularly called in our local parlance as Abusumpain, said this in an interview with the media during a short handing over ceremony, revealed that he was touched when the issue came to his notice and therefore decided to assist the community.
According to him, this would not be the last time he would support the community since he was hailed from that community and assured them for an additional borehole since one borehole will not be sufficient to
supply the entire community.
Osoaman Ackaah Panin ll also used the opportunity to caution the youth against the use of hard since it could jeopardise their future.
He said the youth should also discard the notion that “marijuana” and other hard substances could assist them in studying better.
He urged the people to stay away from drinking alcohol smoking of cigarettes as well as Red since theose drugs does not provide anything good anything to the body but rather harmful to body.
The Assembly Member of Adukrom Electoral area, Mr. Solomon Addisam was thankful to the Barima Osoaman Ackaah Panin ll for his kind gesture.
He intimidated that with the provision of a new mechanized borehole, trending for long distances to fetch water would be a thing of the past.
Mr. Addisam promised to ensure regular maintenance to make the facility functioning and neat in order to serve the purpose of which it was constructed.
