The Chief of Staff, Dr. Julius Debrah, has joined the Chairman of the Council of State, Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho, and other prominent government officials to officially launch the Umaru Sanda Foundation at Asutsuare Junction in the Greater Accra Region.
The launch brought together an array of distinguished personalities, including the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, and the Member of Parliament for Adenta, Hon. Mohammed Ramadan, among other political leaders, public officials and invited guests.
The establishment of the Umaru Sanda Foundation is expected to provide a platform for humanitarian interventions and social support initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable individuals and communities.
Dr. Julius Debrah’s presence at the ceremony underscored the importance of collective responsibility, compassion and purposeful leadership in addressing the social and economic challenges confronting vulnerable members of society.
The gathering also highlighted the growing recognition of foundations and philanthropic institutions as important partners in national development, particularly in areas where targeted interventions can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Addressing the broader significance of the initiative, the launch was described as more than a formal inauguration, but a commitment to making a positive impact on society through acts of kindness, service and sustained support for those in need.
The Foundation is expected to serve as a vehicle for translating humanitarian intentions into practical interventions, offering hope to disadvantaged persons while contributing to efforts to improve living conditions within communities.
The presence of the Chairman of the Council of State, the Chief of Staff, the Communications Minister and the Adenta MP further added political and institutional significance to the occasion.
Their participation reflected the importance of collaboration between public officeholders, private individuals and philanthropic organisations in advancing social development.
The launch at Asutsuare Junction therefore marked the beginning of what is expected to become a lasting humanitarian initiative, with the Foundation seeking to build a legacy of compassion, generosity and service to humanity.
As the Umaru Sanda Foundation begins its operations, expectations are high that its activities will translate into tangible benefits for beneficiaries and communities, particularly those who require support and opportunities to improve their circumstances.
