The Assembly Member for Kumawu-Dadease electoral area in the Sekyere Kumawu District in the Ashanti region together with unit committee members in the area are calling on all natives, citizens and dwellers to come home for the upcoming national voters’ registration exercise.
It is their plead and hope that all natives and citizens both home and abroad come home and register massively.
Speaking with the PUNCH newspaper in an exclusive interview,Mr.Kofi Adade, Assembly Member for Kumawu-Dadease electoral noted that the motive for the call is to ensure that more people partake in the registration exercise.
According to him,the objective of the call is to increase the names of voters in the register.
He said when most people get their names registered it will pave way for additional Electoral area (Assembly Member) so that Kumawu-Dadease gets two Representatives in the assembly.This he said will help fetch for more of developmental projects to the area.
Mr.Adade hinted that,the move will help them to have a fair share in the distribution of national cake .
He revealed that,the distribution of the national cake is sometimes shared according to the population in the voters register so if Dadease has less population definitely they will receive less of development so is about time they need to increase up in population so that more of developmental projects are brought to the area.
