Concerned Youth Of Asante ,a pressure group in the Ashanti Region headed by Dr.Nana Agyenim Boateng (Gyataba)has endorsed His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as Flagbearer of the NDC for election 2024.
The group in a press statement today said they have observed with keen interest the ongoing political activities with regard to the internal elections within the political parties as they prepare towards the general elections in 2024.
“We wish to, first and foremost, register our disappointment with the neglect of the developmental needs of our region by the NPP government and place on record that the Ashanti Region benefits immensely from infrastructure development anytime the NDC is in office. A fact that can not be ignored even as the region remains the stronghold of the NPP.
We particularly commend former President John Mahama for the numerous projects he embarked upon when he was president. This includes upgrading the Kumasi domestic airport into an international airport, the Kumasi Kajetia Market, among others.
He, indeed, demonstrated that he is a man of vision and a transformational leader.
So, as he seeks to lead our dear country again, on the ticket of the NDC, we the members of the Asante Youth Association, do endorse his candidature and wish him well.”It further stated.
