A training institute that offers help to businesses in creating value and meeting sustainable development and social responsibility goals was launched on Wednesday 23 August, 2023 at the Opera 2 hall of Alisa Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
Ghana’s Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR) and Environment Social Governance ( ESG) Training Institute seeks to offer services and program to businesses to help them grow and create long – term value while aligning social, business and environmental interest.
Delivering the opening remarks at the official media launch, Programmmes Manager of the CSR Institute, Tina Nkansah Akuamoah said the Institute focuses on offering practical appreciation and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility among business and creating a synergy between the corporate world and society.
” From the onset, the Institute focused on being pragmatic, engaging and creating business for both society and businesses, real win — win strategies and solutions. Using simple frameworks and methodologies that give participants tools to solve real world issues, ” she noted.
For his part, President of the CSR Training Institute and former Professor of CSR Practice at the McGill University in Canada, Professor Wayne Dunn urged companies to collaborate in telling impactful success stories in their CSR activities to not only encourage others but push the country in achieving sustainable development goals.
He said telling stories of ensuring sustainability in communities will prove more impactful than writing long CSR annual reports.
The launch of the CSR Training Institute which coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Institute, brought together key industry players from Orlando gas, as well as the mining industry, the banking sectors, policy implementors such as the SDGs advisory unit………
