Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as “Napo,” has been honoured by the DMB Call Center Group for his immense contribution and unwavering support during the New Patriotic Party’s recent internal presidential campaign, which saw Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia emerge as the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 elections.
The DMB Call Center, described as one of the formidable grassroots support groups within the NPP, presented a touching citation to the former Energy Minister in recognition of what it termed his tireless behind-the-scenes efforts throughout the campaign period.
According to members of the group, Dr. Opoku Prempeh stood firmly with them and consistently provided logistical assistance, enabling them to effectively carry out their duties and contribute significantly to Dr. Bawumia’s victory.
The group noted that it would have been inappropriate not to publicly acknowledge the role played by Napo, whom they described as a selfless leader and a strong pillar within the NPP family.
“We wish to express our profound gratitude to you for your generous and unwavering support toward the DMB Call Center,” part of the citation read.
The citation, presented on Monday by Hajara Mohammed, a leading member of the group, praised Dr. Prempeh’s timely interventions and commitment to strengthening communication efforts within the party.
“Your dedication to initiatives that enhance effective communication and service delivery, particularly in helping disseminate and amplify the vision of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to delegates and the electorate of the New Patriotic Party, has made a significant difference in the success and growth of this important platform,” the statement noted.
It further highlighted that his support had boosted the operational capacity of the Call Center and reinforced its mission of delivering responsive and people-centred services.
“Your contribution reflects your visionary leadership, dedication to development, and genuine concern for empowering institutions that serve the public,” the citation continued.
The group also expressed appreciation for Dr. Prempeh’s continued encouragement, stating that his support had laid a strong foundation for sustainability and long-term impact.
“We are deeply appreciative of your confidence in this initiative. Your support has inspired excellence and professionalism in service,” the citation added.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh, who appeared visibly emotional during the presentation, commended members of the DMB Call Center for recognising his efforts.
He urged the group, along with other party members, to remain committed and sustain their hard work as the NPP prepares towards the 2028 general elections.
