The Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mr Richard Asante, says some regional and Constituency Executives of the party should be disallowed to supervise the November 4, presidential Election.
According to him, those who publicly declared their support for a particular candidate during the electioneering campaign should not be allowed to play a role in the election.
Mr Asante was reacting to a 3-member Committee appointed by the Presidential Election Committee to Supervise the November 4 election.
Mr Asante disclosed that members of the committee include constituency chairpersons, Vice Chairmen, and constituency secretaries.
According to him, any Constituency and regional executive, who publicly threw support for a particular presidential candidate, should be prevented from playing a role during the election.
He said if not prevented, the candidates who will be defeated in the election will have an avenue to complain since such Executives will serve the interest of their candidates.
The Vice Chairman commended the Presidential Election Committee for apportioning some roles to Council of Elders and Patrons since the majority of them, were remained neutral during the campaign.
