The honour was conferred on him at the 5th Ghana Ministers of State Excellence Honours, receiving a citation from Prince Mackay, CEO for Ghana Ministers of State Excellence Honours, Africa Center for Excellence.
It reads” This award is given in recognition of your Sterling performance as the Minister for Energy in the Republic of Ghana, serving with distinction and excellence in the performance of your duties to the people and nation of Ghana in the fourth Republic.
Ghana truly appreciate you.”
The Energy Minister described the occasion as a humbling moment for him.
“It is once again, a testament that, our modest contributions to nation building are being followed closely.
For me, It is a challenge and an encouragement to continue to give off my best as a public official, in the best of my ability to the people of Ghana.
Whilst, I am eternally grateful to His Excellency the President, for the opportunity to serve, I pay glowing tribute to the dynamic team I work with. They are the bulwarks behind the success story.
Overall, I am grateful to the almighty God, for his protection, sustenance and for granting us the resilience and fortitude.
