As Ghana ushers in the new year, 2026, Dr. Prince Nelson Mortoti, CEO of PIWAK Natural Health, producers of 3P garlic mixture has issued a powerful message urging citizens to embrace their civic duties and promote national unity.
In his address, “Living in Harmony; Unity in Diversity,” Dr. Mortoti emphasized the importance of understanding and fulfilling the fundamental duties outlined in Article 41 of the 1992 Constitution.
Dr. Mortoti highlighted the “resolution gap” that often hinders Ghanaians from achieving their goals, stressing that consistency is key to success. He called for a massive educational drive to promote awareness of civic duties, urging tutors, educators, religious leaders, and workplaces to integrate constitutional teachings into their spheres of influence.
The core duties outlined by Dr. Mortoti include upholding national prestige, fostering unity, contributing to community development, protecting public property, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and promoting environmental stewardship. He emphasized that diversity should be a source of strength, citing Romans 12:18, “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peacefully with all people”.
Dr. Mortoti’s message concluded with a call for collective effort to build “the Ghana we want,” emphasizing that individual diligence can lead to macroeconomic improvements and reduce the desire for mass migration. “No one will even like to travel to settle in another country to work for a living,” he stated, “but rather, they will stay and enjoy the good fortunes our motherland provides” .
